WINDS St. Giles Performance Creates Scholarship

WINDS Tour Performance Flashback– Good News!

June 11^th, 2024 on the Scotland-Ireland Tour the band had the pleasure to perform in St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland on the Royal Mile below the Edinburgh Castle, with the local guest band -the Glencorse Pipe Band. It was truly a memory we will treasurer for a lifetime! 

This was a public concert and a collection was taken. Peter Case from the Pipe Band wanted to give the WINDS the proceeds, and contacted us after we had finished our tour. This was very kind but it was suggested that they keep the $250 to go toward scholarships for their band. They were excited about this agreement. 

Below are photos from a workshop their band did this Fall with youth in the Edinburgh area where they are introducing them to the art of drumming and piping. This is one of the best parts of this type of tour, where we are able to meet musicians from other countries and share the common love of making music with others simply because it is fun!

Music is an international language! As the WINDS proved with all three of our concerts on this 2024 Scotland – Ireland Culturally Immersive Tour!
