Instrumental Student Scholarships
The West Michigan Concert Winds and the Community Foundation for Muskegon County are proud to offer a variety of scholarships to middle and high school students. Instrumental players living and attending schools in Muskegon County in grades 6-8 and grade 12 are eligible.
2024 Scholarship Awards
HIGH SCHOOL (12TH grade only) SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
HS Seniors (from a Muskegon County HS only) that will be going into Music
- There is up to $3700 in scholarships available this year - 2024
MIDDLE SCHOOL (6TH - 8TH) SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
- 2-$250 MS Scholarships to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp
High School Scholarship Requirement Information
High School Seniors, who attend a HS in Muskegon County planning to study music at the college/university level are eligible for one of the several grants which may be distributed on a one-time or multi-year basis.
Audition Requirements – Band or Orchestra Students
High School 12th grade ONLY - prepared Solo with accompaniment, if possible.
Application & Deadline
High School Applications are due April 16th, 2024!
In-person Audition
In Person Auditions will be April 18 & 25, 2024 between 4:00-6:00pm at Muskegon Community College at the Music Building in Suite 1210.

Middle School Scholarship Requirement Information
Middle school scholarships are subsidies for those wishing to attend Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, Michigan.
Middle School (6th - 8th) – No Audition is required – however you MUST have a letter of recommendation from your band director must be submitted with your application.
Middle School Applications are due April 26th, 2024!
